There are 3 methods of interpersonal interactions: conversational, transactional and collaborative.

Understanding their differences is necessary to ensure that an appropriate software technology is selected to fulfill your needs.

Conversational interaction is an exchange of ideas and an interaction of transaction is transfer of a transaction substance between two or more participants, while collaborative interaction is used for a change of a substance of collaboration, ex.: reaching a shared goal.

Interactions of collaboration are organized in such a way that the primary goal of those involved is to modify the collaboration entity from what has been unstable and intangible, for instance, an idea, into a useful solution, for instance a design solution.

Collaborative software

Collaboration software is related to groupware programs that make it easier for people exchange information and work together on various tasks.

The power of these solutions can be found in the ability to allow team members to browse action plans, exchange documents, track projects, monitor schedules, automate business processes, be instantly notified of any tasks and things they are involved in. There are a plenty of ways in which this software can be very useful: moderating activities, documents and projects, optimizing business processes and coordinating work of two or more departments or even firms.
