Different Internet resources offer to buy used woodwinds online. Woodwind musical instruments are the appliances where flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone are included in. In the initial times they were made exclusively of timber, that's why they are named woodwinds. Today such instruments are not made this way anymore but the wood is still used as an element equally with other materials. After the manner of blowing the Chinese woodwinds are divided into two kinds: labial & lingual. There is a lateral hole in the head of the labial musical instrument where the air is injected. The air flow is cleaved on the sharp border of the hole. This is the reason of air resonance within the tube where the music emerges. Flute refers to this kind of musical instruments. In lingual musical instruments the air is injected through the reed. Clarinet and saxophone are related to lingual along with some types of rare instruments. On the top of a lingual instrument the reed is placed. It creates resonance of the air flow in the tube. There are two kinds of reeds too: single and double. A single reed looks like a small cane blade and its duty is to close aperture in the mouthpiece of the musical instrument and to make there a narrow crack. The vibration of the reed helps to shut and open the canal in the mouthpiece of the instrument. A double reed is a close bond of two cane blades in the mouthpiece. The air makes vibration closing and opening the gap between the canes so the sound appears. Musicians refer oboe and bassoon to these musical instruments. Read the rest of this entry »
